[ARCHIVED] Sahuarita Wastewater July Billing Information

Starting August 1, 2014, you will receive your sewer bill directly from the Town of Sahuarita.

The Town of Sahuarita will offer auto bill-pay, electronic bill-pay service, and a remit envelope to mail payments.

For those currently set up for auto bill-pay or electronic bill-pay with Sahuarita Water, your sewer payment will not automatically transfer. Please follow the steps on the Town of Sahuarita bill to establish these services under the new billing system.

As of July 1, 2014, the sewer rates will be increasing. This rate increase was part of a two year increase approved by the Town’s Mayor and Council on May 27, 2014.

The average Sahuarita monthly administrative Sewer Fixed fee will increase from $13.30 to $13.83, and the average Winter Sewer Consumption fee will increase from $31.04 to $32.27.

You will receive your Town of Sahuarita sewer bill the month after you use the water. Therefore the July charges are applied to this bill. These changes will remain in effect until June 2015.

In addition, each year in July, your average Winter Sewer Consumption is recalculated based on the amount of water used in the previous winter months. The winter months being used are December 2013, January & February 2014.

Under the Town’s Code, customers have 60 days after receipt of the July bill to appeal the new winter consumption charge due to a leak. If you have notified the Town of Sahuarita regarding a water leak in the winter months, your winter consumption charge has been recalculated accordingly. If you did not reside at the property prior to December 31, 2013, your rate can not be appealed.
