[ARCHIVED] Sahuarita Rd Westbound Travel Lane Shift (Railroad Tracks to Delgado Rd) - Starting Tuesday 11/04/14

After the morning rush hour on Tuesday, November 4th, 2014, westbound Sahuarita Road traffic (between the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and Delgado Road) will be moved to the recently paved westbound lanes.

Both directions of travel along Sahuarita Road (westbound and eastbound) will remain open, but minor delays may be encountered as the westbound travel lanes are shifted. After the shift, westbound and eastbound traffic will be separated by the newly constructed raised median.

The temporary detour at the railroad tracks remains in place while crews work on the permanent at-grade railroad crossing and signal needed to facilitate the new 4-lane Sahuarita Road.

As part of the ongoing construction efforts, drivers should be aware of all traffic control devices/signage and all speed limit reductions, as large equipment may be working near the roadways.
