Beginning Monday, December 1, 2014, the south leg of the Sahuarita Road/Delgado Road intersection will be closed to traffic. There will be no Sahuarita Road vehicular access to/from Delgado Road until the evening of Wednesday, December 3, 2014.
Both directions of travel along Sahuarita Road (westbound and eastbound) will remain open, but alternate routes should be used to access Delgado Road (such as Santa Rita Rd, Country Club Rd, Davis Rd, and El Toro Rd). Access to Walden Grove High School will also remain open. Message boards and detour signs will be installed to remind drivers of the temporary closure and alternate routes.
The temporary closure is allowing for construction of the new Sahuarita Rd/Delgado Rd intersection (crews will be hauling and placing new fill material for the widened Sahuarita Road).
As part of the ongoing construction efforts, drivers should be aware of all traffic control devices/signage and all speed limit reductions, as large equipment may be working near the roadways.
