NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE TOWN OF SAHAURITA MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL WILL CONTINUE THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC HEARINGS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED ON MONDAY, JUNE 22, 2015 AT OR AFTER 6:30 PM TO MONDAY, AUGUST 24, 2015 AT OR AFTER 6:30 PM TO CONSIDER ADOPTION OF:
A minor General Plan Amendment for approximately 5,645 acres of land, changing Special Planning Area land use designations from Low-Medium Density Residential, Medium Density Residential, High Density Residential, Mixed Use, Employment, Commercial, Resource Conservation/Open Space, River Channel, and Future Development Area to Medium Density Residential, Mixed Use, Employment, and River Channel. This request also changes the boundary of the Special Planning Area to include additional acreage and proposes a text amendment clarifying the relationship between the General Plan and the Sahuarita Town Center and Santa Cruz River Corridor Subarea Plan. A proposed Specific Plan, entitled Sahuarita Farms Specific Plan, encompassing approximately 5,645 acres and will allow for suburban residential, urban residential, neighborhood commercial, general commercial, local office, general employment, and light industrial land uses. A maximum of 19,055 residential units is proposed. (Case No. SA9-11-00001)
The public hearings will be held at the Town Council Chambers, 375 W. Sahuarita Center Way. Interested persons may appear at the public hearings in person, by agent or attorney.
