[ARCHIVED] Vote Saturday and Monday at Emergency Voting Sites

Original Pima County Press Release

Pima County voters may vote on Saturday, August 1, and Monday August 3, at in-person Emergency Voting Sites. Voters may also drop off their mailed-in ballots at these locations inside or outside at curbside ballot boxes monitored by Recorder Office staff.  Over 165,000 voters have already returned their ballots by mail or returned their ballots at Early Voting Sites. The complete list of locations and hours of operation is here: https://www.recorder.pima.gov/EarlyVotingSites

Some voters have reasons that they can’t vote on Election Day, Tuesday, August 4, so the Pima County Board of Supervisors authorized eleven Emergency Voting Sites throughout the County. Voting booths are set up at all Emergency Voting Sites. Voters will sign a form indicating they have an emergency and will be unable to vote on Tuesday, August 4. Voters do not need to explain the emergency, only that they have an emergency and need to vote on Saturday or Monday instead of Tuesday.  Voters must bring appropriate identification in order to vote (see page 3 of press release for ID requirements).

Voters may also return their mailed ballots in person at any Emergency Voting Site with curbside ballot drop-off available. Voters returning mailed ballots do not need to show identification.

All Emergency Voting Sites will follow Centers for Disease Control guidelines for social distancing and disinfecting procedures.

Voters still have the option to vote on Election Day, Tuesday, August 4.  Voters may check their polling locations at: https://www.recorder.pima.gov/VoterStats/PollingInfo.

Voters may call the Recorder’s Office, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with questions about emergency voting at 520-724-4330.  The Recorder’s Office telephone lines will also be open on Saturday, August 1, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Visit our website for additional information:
