What Exactly Is A Community Facilities District (CFD)?

A Community Facilities District is a government entity created by the Town Council, but separate of the Town Council. The CFD has the power to issue bonds, build improvements and impose a property tax.  CFDs help to pay for roads, drainage, landscaping and sewer lines intended to help with commercial and residential growth.
